If Douglas weren't so un-charismatic, he could make friends with the ghouls. But I like that one; hallways means a closed and restricted environment, which means less space to dodge... So on and so forth. And the loot at the end... Cha-ching!

Does he speak their language? Or could he use the humans as some sort of sacrificial trade? All depending on, of course, that stereotypes about feral/nonferal ghouls are true.

He might speak as much of their language as he does of yours A sacrificial trade? Hmm... If I make a good roll, then he might come up with that plan! I'm feeling lucky on that one!

*Thinks that bringing some no-names-slaves along would be beneficial for just this purpose*

"I used to be a slave once, you know, but I kept at it, worked hard, kept my mouth shut, and did what I was told to do. And now look at me--I'm a bona fide slaver!"
We could always find the odd group of civilians that needs help, be it first aid, directions, or protection. Could be a nice deus ex if they came along with food right before we starve to death. XD

A mansion that was once in the possession of a rich man who had a fairly 'improper' past. As we come across it, it is full of ghouls and scary creatures and there seems to be mazes of hallways and more than just a cellar underground. Dude, don't ruin the surprise by posting here, PM it!
