Appearance: A wanderer with the coloration of a man from the far east and a lanky build at 5-foot-8, he dresses in a manner similar to the old west. When he was brought in by the slavers, he's wearing a faded navy blue longsleeve button-down shirt that looks to have been made from an old Vault jumpsuit (the number on the back has long sense faded off, though), jeans kept up with a pair of belts (one normal, one a now-empty western holster-belt), and old-fashioned cowboy boots with spurs and all... though the spurs seem to have rusted in place at the joint, so they no longer move on their own. He wears a leather duster with a poncho-like decorated shoulder-cloak, and a classic western-style hat with a navy-blue hat band and a vintage star-shaped Sheriff's badge made of an old shell.
Backstory: The man who calls himself Johnny Sunset, a wanderer claiming to be a "Gunman of the Telling Visions of the Old West," a simple man with a deadly shot. Johnny came from Vault 42 way back when, the 'dark vault' where the lights installed were much dimmer than the others (no bulbs there were above 40 watts). As a result, Johnny came out of the Vault with eyes trained to notice slight details without even trying, from living in dimmer lighting for so long... though he does prefer wearing a hat, since it's still damn bright out. Vault 42 had one other thing going for it, at least as far as Johnny's concerned, despite the outcome in the end. The lack of proper lighting meant that the televisions and recorded entertainment tapes were almost always available, both as backup lighting and because it was the brightest thing around.
This, however, led to a catastrophe 7 years ago. Over time, the prominence of the television led to a cult forming in the Vault, who called themselves "The Church of the Telling Visions". They believed that these tapes, recordings of various TV shows and movies from before the apocalypse, were prophecies given to the Vault dwellers to live by. Most people in the Vault either subscribed to this belief, or at least were aware of it. The issue, however, is that this theory was brought on by the Vault's Overseer, as a way to control the dwellers. He too, however, submitted to the theory a bit too well, and 5 years ago his beliefs led to a massive civil war breaking out.
After discovering a weapons cache that had been hidden in the vault when it was sealed, it ended with the Overseer being overthrown and the Vault opened, though with nearly all the populace dying in the "war." There were only about a dozen survivors, who all left the Vault behind them, vowing to travel the lands and tell of their Telling Visions. Among them a 22-year-old Johnny, who chose the name he has now from the Visions he watched as a child, tales of the "Old West". Since then, Sunset has wandered the lands near and far, making his way in the world with a keen eye and a good heart. Those who've heard of him would call him a bounty hunter or vigilante, since that tends to be how he pays for his room and board where he goes.
He's primarily successful because his weapon of choice is a PSG1 that's been modified so it resembles an Old West rifle in coloration (despite having a laser sight and scope...), and so it's durable to the point that he can safely use it as a melee weapon by swinging it by the barrel like a club. Her name is Beckham, shortened to "Becky."
However, recently he managed to goof up. While on a contract to take out a couple slaver leaders, the ground under the ledge where he was shooting from gave way, and was knocked out in the fall. The slavers investigating the sound found him, recognized him, and decided he'd make a good slave.
When he wakes up, they've taken his hat, his duster, and his gun... and he is NOT happy about it. And on top of that, he's still on contract to take out a few of them... but screw that, they took Becky. Nobody touches Becky.
