"Agreed. Hopefully in the confusion we can get away." He turned back to the others and held tightly onto Katt's hand he took a few steps outside the hole, sneaking as much as he could away from the scene before any of them were spotted.

Katt nodded and thanked Kenneth for his concern. She then proceeded to try and sneak away as Mark pulled her along... though she was glad he wanted her to be safe. She felt as if he was 'babying' her and she was feeling like a liability more then a helper. Seeing the other two making a break for it, Jackson stuffs the pistol into a pocket of his over-alls and tries to avoid attention while following them.

Kenneth gazed out towards the other slaves as they made a break for freedom. he saw the slavers approach and felt a pang of sorrow for the slaves. His early life was a blur, but he did remember running from something, something that he could not let catch him. He wondered if the other slaves felt like that now as he followed the others in an attempt to sneak away from the ensuing conflict.

((Some of you were seen, but the slavers are shooting at other targets.))
The slavers open fire as the slaves make their escape. Bullets fly past near some of you, but no one is hit. You are able to make your escape.
You keep going through the night. The rain stops shortly before dawn. While some of you are able to continue, members of your group are wounded and tired. Maybe now would be a good time to rest and plan your next move?
You are in an area of desert. There are plenty of rocks- ranging in size from almost man-sized to sand- and bushes in the area, but otherwise the area is unremarkable. The terrain is undulating, with plenty of low hills and shallow ravines. While these ravines are usually dry, last night's rain has left most of them with water at the bottom.

Katt started to sweat and slow down as she fell behind, panting for breath after they got away from the slavers and chaos. It was clear the young woman was exhausted from all the running (after all who wouldn't be having to carry THOSE around all day?) as she leaned over to catch her breath, absentmindedly giving anyone staring a free peepshow of her tracks of cleavage. Her clothes wet (though drying from the blistering heat) from either the rain or her own sweat. "C-can we... take a... break... please?" Katt asked between pants, trying to catch her breath. "Alright." Mark replied, sounding as out of breath as Katt, his fancy suit looking much less so from the dirt, the rain, and his blood. "This seems good anyway to sit and plan out where next." He said, nodding at the water pool. He wanted to drink from it but without knowing where a doctor is he was hesitant. "Although we shouldn't stop for too long..."
Mark reached into his inner pocket and was surprised to find the watch, his grandfather's lucky watch was missing. He began to feel over his body, looking for something that clearly wasn't there anymore. "Shit. Those assholes took it." He muttered, looking distressed. He couldn't go back now though, they've spent all night getting away from them and were in no shape to do much.

Kenneth stopped his trekking when some of the other members of the group needed to stop. Katt looked exhausted, and the others looked ragged. As he approached the group, he saw the man in the suit, Mark look at a pool of water from the rain. Its seemed that he did not know if it was drinkable so Kenneth decided to show that it was. He kneeled by the water and brought a handful to his mouth. "Fresh rainwater," he said. "Clear and crisp."
He then heard the man curse over something that was stolen from him. He put an arm on his shoulders in an attempt to ease his distress. "I know how you feel," he said. "The slavers took everything from me. They destroyed my possessions, burned my home to the ground, and killed my dog. But you must not let it get you down if you want to survive out here in the wastes."
