Hypothetically, if I got my hands on a metal pipe and threw it at a slaver over-handed (Javelin throw, per say), and if I rolled a number that allows for it to hit, would it still do 1d10 damage?
Not saying that I would, since Kane has the pipe near him.

Hmm... I'm really not sure. I haven't seen any rules for this, so I'll make something up if it does happen. Probably 1d10 minus something to reflect the lesser force you'd get from a throw.
By the way, the map's up. Sorry, i could have sworn I posted it at the time.

Well, at least it could be a useful distraction. It's alright, was kinda curious why we got the lesser starting package Edit: I'll wait for someone else to post before I fail my roll to start a conversation with the Slaver about food.

9 posts and nobody is dead, dying or wounded. Or even in combat. But a bit of character development to make up for the lack of violence.
This is probably going to be like GANTZ, where we spend an entire episode (Dozen posts probably?) talking and doing nothing that involves killing.

There's nothing wrong with character interaction. Besides, you're going to have to fight eventually if you want to escape.
By the way, would you guys mind putting a link to your character sheets in your signatures please? I'm having to check them every time you make an action, so it'll be a lot more convenient for me.

Because it builds bonds of friendship, loyalty, character and leads to easier dialogue sequences later on?
Eventually indeed... I just want the finishing blow to fully utilize my character's traits. And I can see Erin beating the crap out of the slaver if she gets a weapon. That would be so cool.

Haha, well at least our two strongest characters ended up near the weapon, so one of them will be able to beat the guard senseless (probably just as one of the other slavers is coming down for a shift change, knock on wood).

Ain't that the truth! And especially since us two aren't as competent in melee as them.
After he gets his head bashed in, we can loot his corpse so you or Johnny (If he shows) can get the gun. But if he has a hat, I call dibs.

I hope Johnny'll let me have the gun... I think I'm the only person in the group who has a negative melee modifier. We've got Kane and Erin with their pumped-up strength stats, you and Johnny could probably hold your own in a fist fight... and Creighton... Creighton has the girly arms, haha.
But if we find a hat, it's yours, man.

I do find it funny that Erin, the smallest one, is one of the strongest. And I guess that's true, I could probably throw a few punches before he takes me down. And having you back us up from afar with the handgun would mean that we all can have some fun dealing damage.
Thank you! This will make Douglas extremely happy, and will help him to forget his hunger.

So, just wondering if we've got any plans? I'll happily have Erin just slip out of sight and try to get behind the guard. It's how she works, anyway. From there, things should be fun.
As you've noticed, she really is designed to be a tiny little package of nastiness. That's crushing on ghouls...

Well, I'm planning to eventually approach Kane with the information about the hole in the wall, not because Creighton knows about the pipe, but because Kane's the obviously-strong guy in the group, and he needs somebody to incapacitate the guard so they can escape.
Might as well go ahead and do it. Give Jackal an opening and get the show on the road.

So Erin with the pipe and Kane with his fists? That slaver would have a good fight ahead of him.
When she learns that Douglas thinks that they'll get no food, her resolve to free them from the shackles of slavery will increase ten-fold. Ho ho, definitely can't wait to see how this progresses!

And now we play the waiting game...
Hopefully that's not too suspicious, haha.
